Docstring spacing not preserved

Note how the docstring displayed above the code includes the paragraph break correctly, but in the code-block the blank line is missing, and the line numbers are wrong.

This is going to be fun to fix, because the newlines are already missing in the JSON fixtures. If the correct strings are provided via the fixtures/database, the rendering works out fine, too, for what it's worth.

Thanks for the fix -- as discussed in person, we should fix the existing old fixtures.
