Switching From D-pad Walk to Slow Crouch Walk Makes Noise #3

Perhaps this is intended behavior, if it is just lemme know.
When switching from d-pad walking to slow crouch walking (while still holding a direction on the d-pad) you make noise and can alert enemies this way. It's almost as if the crouch walk speed always starts in full speed and makes noise, then switches to the slower speed which is silent.
If you are standing still and rapidly switch between crouching and standing, you don't make any noise, just like in the vanilla game.
