Invalid characters cause misleading permission error #2

Adam,

thanks for that report, it's very helpful. I think at least one other person
might be seeing this
new behavior on 10.5 as well.

If you'd like to donate, simply go to the CronniX homepage (from the Help menu)
and click on
"Donations" on the navigation bar on the left.

Cheers,
Sven

Aloha!

I'm trying to use Cronnix in Leopard - it looks like a great program, but it
isn't working with my
system. I receive the following error:

Insufficient privileges to write crontab.

WAIT

I just figured it out—!

The problem is not permissions. The problem is that I'm pasting in a command
with a return
character in it!! /Use
rs/z****/bin

Instead of /Users/z****/bin

OK so instead I actually have a minor bug report: if you paste in a command
with illegal
characters, like \r in it, you get the "Insufficient privileges..." message

Just thought you should know :-)

BTW, Cronnix appears to be a great program, can we make donations?
