Platform Engineering has emerged as a discipline to improve developer experience and streamline the delivery of software across organisations. As CI/CD is a core component of any internal developer platform, the CDF is a natural home for this conversation.
The CDF wants to provide a vendor-neutral space for DevOps engineers, platform engineers and CI/CD practitioners to share ideas and experiences, develop best practices and drive standardisation, without the assumption of any specific technology stack or deployment model.
The TOC would like to form a Platform Engineering Special Interest Group (SIG) and is looking for a SIG leader to drive this initiative: draft the SIG charter, goals and deliverables and promote the group and recruit participants across industries.
The TOC is happy to sponsor the initiative and can provide guidance, oversight and required tools and infrastructure.
Interested individuals, please comment on this issue or reach out to me or @TracyRagan on the CDF slack.
