Security BSides CDMX is an event build for and by information security community members all arround the globe that takes place in Mexico City. This very first edition is aim to bring the Security B-Sides approach to Mexico, since we believe this can be a great space and opportunity to share and acquire knowledge and experiences with people from different infosec approaches.
Inspired by Security BSides events in different countries, Security BSdides CDMX is intented to create opportunities for individuals to both present and participate in a great community-driven atmosphere that encourages collaboration.
All support and donations from community and sponsors is used only for the event; this is not a lucrative event, the goal is to create a platform for knowledge exchange and collaborate with other members of the security information community.
BSides CDMX is organized by members of the mexican infomation security community who are passionate about security and want to create a space where all the community can hang out together and create new things!
The main goal of BSides CDMX is to provide a platform for and by the information security community; therefore this is a place intented to include a diverse range of paticipants with the unique porpuse of knowledge and experiences exchange. So, this is a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, academic background and religion.
All participants (staff, speakers, facilitators, sponsors and guests) are expected to behave according to this Code of conduct in every moment within the community environment.
Please, attempt collaboration before conflict in every situation, since the confenrence is the place to do so. Be mindfull of all the community at the venue and online and also respect the surroundings since they are intented to serve us all.
If you detect any violation of this Code of conduct or any dangereous situation, please inform immediately the staff at BSides CDMX.
Unacceptable behaviors include: intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, derogatory or demeaning speech or actions by any participant in our community online, at all related events and in one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community business. Community event venues may be shared with members of the public; harassment of these patrons of these venues is also unacceptable.
Harassment includes: harmful or prejudicial verbal or written comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability; inappropriate use of nudity and/or sexual images (including presentation slides); inappropriate depictions of violence (including presentation slides); deliberate intimidation, stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Any unacceptable behavior from any community member will not be tolerated and the staff and event organizers will take the appropiate acctions on the matter; such as exclusion from the conference. Additionally, BSides CDMX organizers are available to help community members engage with local law enforcement or to otherwise help those experiencing unacceptable behavior to feel safe. In the context of in-person events, organizers will also provide escorts as desired by the person experiencing distress.
