Feature request: Lilypond integration

Hello Brian,

We found your wonderful piece of work.
Our project is considering to use it as step sequencer

Do you think, that it is possible to enhance your project to use Lilypond notation as pattern?
Of course just the simple form. But with < > in order to make it polyphonic.
I don't expect all those nice features like tweens etc. to work in this mode.
An advantage of lilypond would be that a midi stream can be translated into lilypond with midi2ly.

Or do you have plans to make it polyphonic and provide a midi to pattern conversion?

Apologies for the slow response, glad you like the project! That would be very cool to have it be a part of Zythian (and also motivation for me to tie up some loose ends and finish the documentation).

I'm a fan of Lilypond, but I'd have to get my head around what integration would entail. Can you give me an example of what you'd like to have work? And maybe in general how you'd use it in Zynthian so I can make sure there are no gotchas?
