Bad font rendering with Inter system font #191

Hi there. I stumbled upon the website and noticed that it looked weird for me:
I've traced the issue to the font-feature-settings having "ss06" 1 set. I have Inter set as my system font (which seems to take precedence in the defined font stack), and in that family ss06 toggles letters in squares:
