Following my issue #23, I'd like to submit some suggestions for the improvement of GamessQ:
- since gms script can accept a GAMESS version number as an argument, it would be great to have an option for that in GamessQ too (e.g. something like "gamessq add TEST.inp -v 2020R1"), so instead of having GAMESS path in ~/.gamessq, having the path to gms script. This way, one can use GamessQ on a variety of GAMESS versions instead of modifying ~/.gamessq each time;
- I'm running GamessQ in command-line only, so I managed to create the ~/.gamessq prefs file by hand. Would be great to have the instructions to do so in the manual, for people running on environment without graphical display.
That's all for the moment, I'll keep enjoying GamessQ!
Info about my config:
- Rocky OS 64 bits (Linux)
- GAMESS 2020R1, compiled with GFortran 9.1.0 and Intel oneAPI MKL 2022.1.0
- GamessQ 1.2.2 compiled with wxWidgets 3.1.6 (also compiled)
- Command-line only
