Bootleaf and leaflet-realtime.js

I am reading geojson files on a regular interval using leaflet-realtime.js within Bootleaf. The position does change automatically on the map but the popup content used by Bootleaf does not get updated with the new information within the newly read geojson file and a new entry keeps getting added (append) to the sidebar list.
