Thanks for the suggestion! We agree that consolidating these encoding dependencies under @scure/base would be a nice cleanup, since @noble/hashes by the same author is already in use.

We've prototyped the migration locally and confirmed it's a straightforward drop-in replacement — all 2645 unit tests pass with minimal changes. However, the practical benefit is relatively small (just reducing the dependency count), and it does introduce a minor API surface difference (e.g., createBase58check(sha256) factory pattern, template literal types for bech32.decode).

We'll keep this on the radar for a future release but won't prioritize it for now. Thanks again for bringing it up!
