Variant Selection Resets on Add to Cart – Query Parameter Blank on Vercel

When a specific variant is selected and added to the cart, the query parameter appears blank, and the selection reverts to the previous default instead of reflecting the user's chosen option. It seems vercel is resetting everything.

Go to product page where we have variant option selection.
Select the variant other than the default
Once the selection is made add the product to the cart
Close the flyout or mini cart
In product page SKU, image, price, variant selection everything is getting reset.

Expected: It should retain the user selection that is made.

Yes, we're aware of this issue. We think it's a Next.js issue but we're looking at some alternatives to solve this for now.

Hey @ShaliniDogra! In the latest canary changes, we have a workaround that reselects the chosen options (not ideal, but a solution for now). However, this original issue has been reported to Vercel and we're hoping we can get a fix at some point.

@jorgemoya The fix is not working for us. In Vercel, when we do the ATC in the product page, the query strings are always empty. We are not able to retrain the selected values.

Hey @kathir-arizon, the underlying issue is still not fixed. Our workaround is to implement this to do a check on the client side.
