Describe the Bug

• Trying Crosspoint v1.0.0, and opening the same epbu, I realized that chapters were getting truncated, as Crosspoint was shoing text that Papyrix was not.

Steps to Reproduce

• Woring on Papyrix v1.4.1
• The epub, chapter "Suppose they gave a peace" ends atpage 77
• Flash Crosspoint v1.0.0
• Open same epub chapter has 165 pages, not 77. I will attach the book

Expected Behavior

The Best Alternate History Stories of the 20th Century - Harry Turtledove.zip

The expectations should be: An epub chapter will have all the pages, and not be truncated to less pages than are in the chapter.

• use Clear Book Cache before check with new version

• flashed to 1.4.2 / reboot / clear book cache
• opened same book and check the chapter that was truncated.
• It is now OK, and I can see the rest of the chapter to page 160

Another function that is not working is chapter selection. I select another chapter, but it will continue to open where I currently am in the book. i.e. I select the next chapter, press enter, and it returns me to where I was before.

I'm still seeing chapter truncation and indexing failures in v1.4.2 in epubs like the attached. To reproduce, open to chapter 4 and go back one page into chapter 3. On the first attempt it will open chapter 3 midway through the content. If you go forward and back again, indexing fails completely.

@tingklee-sudo EPUB has multiple chapters in a single spine item (HTML file) - I try to fix it. This is an epub, did you make it yourself?

I did not make the epub. Yes, I see that it has multiple chapters under one heading. Somebody did a sloppy job when they made the epub. Hope you can handle this scenario. I am guessuing that this situation will pop up in various epubs, as people get lazy, or make a mistake

Just checked and the issue is still appearing for me in the epub attached above.

• Flash v1.4.3
• Clear book cache
• Open attached epub
• Navigate to chapter with title "Chapter 4: Sarurday Night Live (The Later Part..."
• Chapter opens
• Navigate back one page (into previous chapter)
• Chapter titled "Chapter 3..." opens in middle
• Navigate forward one page (into chapter initially opened)
• "Failed to load page" error appears

The problematic epub is working in 1.5.0. Thank you! Was the problem with the chapter size or the formatting? I see you made many changes related to memory optimization in the latest build.

@mwhdc The problem was caused by the caching system; the Xteink X4 has quite little memory, so we have to adapt to the situation.
