[Bug]: Herd Menu Bar Icon dissapears on multi monitor setup

Problem: Herd is running via cli but not showing in Menubar

Initially I though Herd is broken, i reinstalled Herd but didn't help

One day I noticed that Herd Menubar icon appeared in my external monitor's Menubar but not my primary display!

This suggest that perhaps Herd menubar prefers to take the last detected monitor.

Proposed solution: Like many other apps that implements Menubars, have Herd icon display on all Menubars.

My current workaround for using Herd via menubar is to connect to external monitor, once done I disconnect the external monitor.

Steps to reproduce

Setup Herd with external monitor connected

Disconnect external monitor

Restart OS so Herd can autostart on Login

Herd should no longer appear in the primary monitor's menubar

Note: This step is probably hard to reproduce because it has been 3-4 months since I'm dealing with this

Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do about it because macOS moves some icons out of the view if there are too many. personally, I use Bartender 5 to manage which icons I want to see and which ones I don't care about and that works great.

I see! Then my prognosis is incorrect! It is indeed due to cramping of icons. Thank you!

I use Bartender as well and for the past few months I cannot get the herd icon to show in the menu bar. Bartender doesn't display it as an option.

Bartender for the latest macOS version is actually pretty unstable. That said, macOS now has integrated features to hide icons from the menu bar that you don't need, so that could work as well.

Thank you for that response. For me the issue was that in the MacOS settings herd was turned off.
