unwrap with debug_assertions and bail without?

I'd love to have variants of these helpers that panic when debug_assertions is enabled, to make it harder to miss bugs when developing

Interesting. So this would behave like e.g. or_return!(x) in release and x.unwrap() in dev. Would you want per-instance granularity to choose between "never panic" and "panic in dev", or is a global feature flag good enough?

I would prefer per-instance granularity so I can handle expected errors and logic bugs differently
