The name of the tune is "The Crow".
It has 4 tune specific breaks (3 if you ignore that we adopted Karla break to 6/8 and renamed it Krala break)
Signs
The sign of the tune is to shape two upside-down Vs with your arms, like you have wings (^o^). Optional/as fit: raise one leg.
The sign for Krala break is like Karla break moving one hand from low to high, but in stead of bunny ears, you hold your finger tips together to resemble a birds beak.
The sign for Singing break is shaping your fingers as a birds beak and move the thumb up and down as if the bird is singing.
Difficulty: Medium
Especially shaker and snare is a bit hard if you have not played in 6/8 before. Same with goes for everybody when playing Krala Break. Call and response break is hard for the flute/maestrix, as the break has 18 beats in total, and beat 3 and 4 is missing at the end of the break.
About the tune:
The Crow is based on a traditional Norwegian folk song called "Kråkevisa". It was created as a RoR-rhythm by RoR Sambattac Oslo in 2025.
A few technical notes on issues that I was not able to adjust in "compose"-mode:
- the tune tempo is like you have adjust the speed up to 120 in the player.
- The call and response break only have 18 beats, so the two last beats are not supposed to be there in the tune sheet and player.
- Krala break is supposed to be from soft strokes to hard strokes, like in Karla break.
- Singing break (preferably singing break, not shouting break as it says in the sheet or talking break as it says in the hand written sheet) is "fal-tu-ri-il-tu-ral-tu-ra" same rhythm as break 1.
