Installing NullSec Linux on VMware

Here's a complete guide:

VMware Settings

  1. Create New VM - Choose "Other Linux 5.x kernel 64-bit" (or Debian 12 64-bit)
  2. RAM: Minimum 4 GB, recommended 8 GB
  3. Disk: 40 GB minimum (dynamically allocated is fine)
  4. Processors: 2+ cores recommended
  5. Network: NAT for internet, or Bridged for network testing

Important VMware Settings

  • Enable Virtualize Intel VT-x/EPT in Processor settings
  • USB Controller: Set to USB 3.1 for WiFi adapter passthrough
  • Display: Enable 3D acceleration, 256 MB+ graphics memory

Installation Steps

  1. Mount the NullSec Linux ISO in the VM CD/DVD drive
