util.styleText isn’t implemented yet. It could probably be added with a shim or some plain JS code, but since it’s not widely used directly it hasn’t been a priority so far.

Out of curiosity, is this something you’d like to use directly, or is it coming in as a dependency from another package? Knowing your use case would help us decide how important it is to prioritize.

Hello so why we need that. Because Codemod use LLRT for node compatibility. there are using a small js engine for ast-grep js api something they call jssg.
And us at nodejs/userland-migrations we want to use this api to have a fancy logger 🚀

Ah that makes totally sense. I'm happy to accept contributions for this. In order to keep weight done this should be feature gated to not be included in lambda feature and we're good to go.

There is no simple fix. It needs to be implemented in Rust. One caveat is that util.styleText also supports Node.js Streams API that has very limited support in LLRT

Hum okay I see what if we disable stream for now and just support string which is the 95% of the use case IMO.

And where is the rust file responsible of this api ?
