GLEDOPTO Elite not connecting to Ethernet.

I don't know if I'm missing something. Does Hyperk only run on WIFI? I have a GLEDOPTO Elite which works fairly well on WiFi but I have a dedicated Ethernet cable running to it and it will only connect WiFi. I was curious if this was intentional in the hyperk firmware or if I was missing something. Thanks for the great project!
I have the ambilight around a 200" projector and it looks incredible.

I have the 616wl and I only went through the advanced firmware flasher and probably originally selected ESP32. Does it need to be WT32-ETH01. Sorry I'm a beginner at this stuff.

Currently web flasher does not have an option for this gledopto model yet and you need to flash it using esptool. WT32-ETH01 wont work because the SDIO config is different for the Ethernet controller.

Ok. I just tried to flash Hyperk_0.0.4_esp32-GLEDOPTO_GL_C_616WL_factory.bin. I am using esphome flasher and get this error:

Unexpected error: The firmware binary is invalid (magic byte=FF, should be E9)

I switched over to the ESPflash download tool and it worked.

While I have this open. I can not for the life of me get the lights to light up after switching firmware. No setting got changed from hyperhdr and hyperk except for the firmware. I've tried changing the GPIO pin. LED instance on and off. Tried messing with the settings in hyperhdr. I see the hyperk gui and I see on my network the esp is now hardwired. I can see the live view in hyperhdr. But I can't even get the lights to flash when turning on or off.

In that case first you should test static colors if their works without network. Still dont know which model you have. GPIO are printed on the case. Did you hear the power relay click after bootup?

I have the GL-C-616WL. Static won't work but I also never used static when I had the other firmware installed. I tried both GPIO 16 and 02.
I just installed the original ESP32 firmware ( from the advance firmware flasher ) and the lights work with hyperhdr. I do however have to specially change the GPIO in the hyperk dashboard to 18 then to 16 to get the lights to power on. Changing the GPIO straight to 16 after power on would not make them work. I tried running through the list each time going back to GPIO 16 and the only time it would work is if I went from 18 to 16. And once I have 16 selected. They work perfectly. Is this a bug or a hardware issue.
I'm assuming I'm running into the same problem using the other firmware. But in that one I don't have the option of choosing GPIO 18 so I cant test.

esp32-GLEDOPTO_GL_C_616WL allows only gpio: [16, 2, 12, 14]. Why do you try to use GPIO18 for driving the LEDs? GPIO18 is a relay control...

I'm not trying to use 18. I'm using 16 on the actual GLEDOPTO. What I have to do to get the LEDs to turn on is to switch the GPIO in hyperk dashboard from 18 to 16. Cycling through other GPIOs does not help unless I specifically go from 18 back to 16 in the hyperk dashboard. The physical lights stay connected to the GPIO16 on the GLEDOPTO the entire time. I also confirmed this on GL-C-015WL. It's a workaround to get them on but I can't test on the other firmware since there are only 5 different gpio settings to choose from and 18 isn't one of them.

Once the LEDS are on. They work every time. It's only when there's a loss of power to the unit

Make sure you are really using esp32-GLEDOPTO_GL_C_616WL firmware in the stats/info tab. Because I dont quite understand how you are able to select GPIO18 in Hyperk dashboard. It's locked to [16, 2, 12, 14] for driving LEDs in that firmware.

Yes that is correct. That's why I can't test on that specific firmware hence why I can't get the lights on. In the other firmware( the standard ESP32 ) on your firmware flasher page has a bunch more of the gpio to choose from. That's when I found out if I go from gpio 18 to 16 the lights come on. I just tested and it's the same when using the physical gpio 02 as well. I have to switch the software from 18 to 02 then the lights immediately come on.

I have tried 16,12,2,14 in the esp32-GLEDOPTO_GL_C_616WL firmware and the lights refuse to power on.

The GPIO18 is already there... just different tab: Relay control. Below LED GPIO configuration. It's available for every firmware version (but esp32-GLEDOPTO_GL_C_616WL enables it and set it to GPIO18 on default) so try to use it instead of playing with GPIO18 in LED GPIO Data config.
