Few suggestions:

• add a color tab with the information about the CCD readout in progress.
• gain should be displayed in e-/ADU (not some code symbol)
• single widgets for coordinates, focus, gain etc. with some 'orange' color for the new value not being set yet.

A few more ideas:

• Mark stars that are closer than r distance (in degrees) from the Moon (e.g. with red font or background). It will be easier to remove them from the plan if we can't observe them. Additionally, make this value r dependent on the Moon phase, p (in %); this can be a linear relation: r = 0.3 p, which will mean that the "forbidden zone" is in the radius of 30deg when there's full moon (100%), and 0deg when there's new moon (0%).
• Finding charts
• In the Fits tab of Aux Monitor, flip the image so that it it looks like images from simbad, or mark the cardinal points.
• When the observer doesn't have control, change the color of the buttons so that the lack of control is obviously visible.

A few more ideas:

• Add a special action (analogously to WAIT and STOP) that is called FOCUS. FOCUS would choose the best field for focusing from the list and perform a focus on that field. FOCUS could be scheduled in the observing plan, it could appear just before the first observation, after 2h, 2h, and 4h.
• Add to the Plan Manager window a button FOCUS that would put the focusing procedure in the schedule without the need of stopping the observations or add the FOCUS option to the drop-down menu TYPE in the Instrument Manual Control window
• Add a button STOP to the Plan Manager window, that can be inserted into the plan, for example, then you want to observe the object to the very end and save the fits files or make a distinction between the "Stop" button in the Instrument Manual Control window, and the "Abort" button. The "Abort" button would kill the observation immediately, while the "Stop button" would wait until a given exposure is finished and saved, before stopping the plan.

STOP vs ABORT:

ABORT immediately interrupts the exposure without saving it (or with saving it?)

STOP stops after the exposure is complete. It's different from STOP that exists now that is inserted into the plan and that stops the plan after the OB is finished.

This would be very useful if wind grows so fast that we cannot wait to finish the current OB.
