Bug - Multilingual Press - Wrong content linked to Russian posts

Describe the bug
Sometimes a post is linked to a completely random Russian post.

We had this report from a translator:

Hi Web team,

There is something strange with a publication on wordpress, where connections to other languages have been created, but the page is now connected to an old press release from 2019 on an entirely different topic. And I have no idea who did this.

From what I can see, it’s the same for French and Spanish (I can’t access Russian but as this 2019 text does not exist in that language at least they are not connected to it)

It’s the second time I’ve encountered this issue, but I can’t remember when it happened last time. It was fairly recently though.

Do you see any reason why this would happen?

I fixed this post, so the dodgy link is no longer there. However, here are some other examples where there are random links between Russian content and other content:

• This Russian post from 2017 is linked to the Senegal 'Office' entry .
• This post from 2019 is linked to this petition, which is not actually published.

I had understood that this was something that happened in the migration and that it only applied to existing content but if it is happening on new posts, as Marie-Laure reported above then I wonder if there's some kind of bug in MLP?

also I think I could go through the Russian post list and clear up some of those dodgy links.

it could be that some of the post IDs are perhaps high enough for content that has since been created to be connected.
i'll try to set some time aside to do a review of the content relationships

hey @SophieAmnesty. the bad news - there are a bunch of invalid relationships in the table (22,407, in fact). this will likely be a consequence of the site clone for RU. the good news - i can remove them. i've written a script to build the SQL that i can then run on the box. i'll grab a fresh copy of the database on monday and get it fixed up.

sorry for the delay, @SophieAmnesty. i've run the sql this afternoon to clear out the junk relationship data. this issue shouldn't occur for new content going forward.
