When viewing the official demos, my CPU usage jumps up to 80%

I don't have a graphics card, I'm running integrated graphics on an:
Windows 10
i5-12400
16GB RAM
No graphics card

And whenever I view the demo here: https://tympanus.net/Tutorials/Fake3DEffect/ , my CPU jumps up from ~7% usage to 80% usage.

Edit: I have Hardware Acceleration disabled in chrome. Apparently re-enabling it seems to have reduced my CPU usage to 20%, though it means my GPU is now at 99% instead.

Is this working as intended? Should I be concerned about putting something like this on my website?
