solution for non-standalone nvim repo

I think I'm not the only one who has his nvim config not in a standalone repo, but a part of a bigger dotfiles repo instead (or a nix flake if you're into it)

would still be cool to check the history out!

appreciate the request, been looking through lot of configs lately, and most definitely have their nvim configs nested which wrapped misses, the initial version was just for testing and to see how my own configuration looks, so thats that

if anyone wants to include certain git history context instead of their nvim/ config, you can specify it via the path (note that this will also read the files inside that path)

right now wrapped runs git log, git rev-list, and git diff with cwd set to the config path, but without the .git directory being located directly inside the nvim config. git recursively looks upward until it finds the root .git

e.g,

config path = ~/.config/nvim
git root = ~/.config/

problem with this is that it reads other stats and files from your entire config. every time you tweak a file, it counts as "activity" in your nvim config stats. this washes out the nvim specific stats.

ohh, my first time hearing about nix flake. might also consider adding support for stow.
