NeSST currently only has a single scatter model so is limited to low areal densities. An approximate approach to double scattering and differential attenuation would therefore be very beneficial. This would very likely be restricted to simple spherically symmetric geometries (say a 2-3 shell model of hotspot, shell and ablator).
