didn`t work :/ do i have to define in the script how batocera is supposed to open the mp4 maybe? because right now its only **launch:/userdata/roms/videos/mariolofi.mp4 since there is no system or anything defined, maybe that is the problem=

I probably have to define the tool to play the video as well or am I missing some syntax?

You need to run the media db update while kodi is open and running to index the videos. Then you can use those results to launch
