How can you tell if the Ghost-Azure-Updater is working/upgrading

I've implemented/deployed your Azure Ghost updater based on the instructions on the site

However, how can you tell it is running, or even doing anything?

So far I've not seen any evidence that the updater is triggering and updating the repo, an no logs are reported by the updater.

The updater does not get triggered, but it runs every day at 4pm to check if new releases exist (newer than the latest one in your repo) and it will import those. You can check the run history of the Azure Function app.

Also: since you probably cloned my repo, you already have the latest version (of version 3). There haven't been any new releases since you cloned it, probably. Ghost has received an update to v4 but this code does not support that, yet.

I've had the updater running for several days and still no indication it is trying to update. Latest ghost seems to be V4 but still at the original V2.

Latest Ghost is at v4 but that is not supported in my approach, I only go v3 at the moment. Haven't put in the effort yet to find an approach that would work for v4.
I have the impression that there is a misunderstanding of what this Release Uploader does: it fetches the latest v3 version from the Ghost GitHub repo, extracts it and uploads the changed files into your GitHub repository. It DOES NOT update your running instance of Ghost, you'll have to trigger the deployment from your fork to update your installation.

My GitHub repo contains the latest version of Ghost already, and it only updates when a new v3 version is released. When that is updated, it triggers a DevOps pipeline to update my installation. It is perfectly normal to have the function running for days now and see no changes as:

1. there hasn't been a new release
2. your repo is probably already up to date

Ahh, right, that is probably it then.
Might be good to have an updated install post as the current one is a few years out of date and include the updater install guide.

P. S I believe the source fork has been updated to v4, but not sure it's actually working tbh
*Edit, scratch that. Did eventually get it to deploy with some tweaks, but site is unresponsive and unusable. Switching back to using your version of V3 until more is "known" :D

Due to time constraints I haven't worked yet on updating my own blog to v4, so I cannot share the new process yet. Additionally, I might take a new approach using Docker so I'm not sure if I will be continuing this repository.
