simple-tile issues with anything that pops up

Describe the bug
When simple-tile is enabled, any popup that a window creates is hidden behind the current window. To interact at all with the popup I have to use switcher and press enter before it gets hidden again. I'm not sure if like there's a way to work around this though.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Enable simple-tile
Have any window create a popup

Expected behavior
To like not do this

By a popup, do you mean a right-click menu (aka xdg_popup in the protocol)? What application is this? I have no such issues so I assume it is either client-specific or something in your configuration makes it behave that way. Maybe you have set the terminal to always-on-top (even though that shouldn't really matter here)?
