This isnt an issue such but more a suggestion as to a good feature that could be added. The speed at which you level up largely depends on getting the kanji right enough times therefore it would be good to have an option to display reminder/notification when new current level kanji/radicals become available rather than just any review at all.

I'm sorry but I'm not maintaining this project anymore.. at any rate, I believe the feature you are requesting is already there: have you tried checking the "Current level items icon" setting? It is disabled by default because the algorithm requires more polling, and it consumes more battery (not much).
