By engaging with the project — including GitHub discussions, pull requests, issues, documentation updates, or chat channels — you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
All community members are expected to:
- Treat others with respect, professionalism, and kindness.
- Assume good intentions, ask questions before making negative assumptions.
- Provide helpful and constructive feedback.
- Welcome new members and help them succeed.
- Use inclusive language and avoid stereotypes.
- Respect boundaries and maintain personal and professional safety.
Examples of unacceptable behavior include, but are not limited to:
- Harassment, insults, or personal attacks.
- Discrimination or hateful conduct based on gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected status.
- Sexualized or explicit content, jokes, or imagery.
- Threats, intimidation, doxxing, or sharing of private information.
- Sustained disruption of conversations, PR reviews, or meetings.
- Using project resources for bullying or targeted harm.
- Impersonating maintainers or falsely claiming authority.
This Code of Conduct applies to:
- GitHub repositories under the Unit09 organization or contributors
- Discord, Telegram, Twitter (X), forums, or mailing lists hosted by the project
- Online or offline events where community members represent Unit09
- Any interaction in which the project brand is associated

When reporting, please include:
- A description of what happened

Reports will be handled confidentially, and reviewed by the policy committee.
Maintainers may take appropriate action, including:
- Warning or temporary moderation
- Reverting or rejecting harmful contributions
- Removal from chat, repositories, or events
- Permanent ban in cases of severe violations
Maintainers must act fairly, prioritize safety, and document decisions.
Retaliation against someone who submitted a report is a violation. Good‑faith reports are protected even if the investigation concludes no violation occurred.
Unit09 aims to foster an ecosystem centered around:
- Curiosity and exploration
- Open‑source access and learning
- Respectful debate and shared ownership
- Support for new developers entering Solana
Policy updates will be timestamped and committed to the repository. Contributors will be notified via community channels.
