UHK80 connected via USB types wrong characters

I have a UHK80 connected via USB (no Bluetooth, no battery) to a MacBook Pro 16-inch, Nov 2024, using the included USB-C cable. I use the German layout.

I noticed that the keyboard sometimes starts typing wrong characters. For example, pressing "W" outputs "I" instead. The issue seems unrelated to any specific action — it just happens randomly during use. Specifically, I was working with Ableton and noticed that my hotkeys stopped working. Then I realized that keyboard input was messed up. Not completely though, because I remember that using the keyboard somewhat made sense, which added to the confusion.

Firmware 15.3.1. Reconnecting the USB cable fixes the problem.

Configuration-wise, I only have Ctrl-Alt-Super row reordered and remapped to match the MacBook keyboard.

This is strange.

Is it possible that you have accidentally switched UHK to another keymap?
Is it possible that you have switched your mac to a different keyboard layout or language or generally some other input mode?

(Not saying that UHK can't be the problem, just trying to search the hypothesis space from the most probable ones.)

@kareltucek can't think of how I could do that. Definitely didn't mess with layout settings at that moment. And the only languages I have (ABC - QWERTZ and RU), they work with the same keyboard layout. So, changing input language alone can't result in such an error.

When this happens, does the Mac's keyboard continue working properly, or does it produce same results as the UHK?
