ACL2, formerly known as ADAPT-Lab, is a research lab directed by Dr. Kenny Zhu at University of Texas at Arlington. The ACL2 lab seeks to advance knowledge on natural language processing, with particular interest in computational animal linguistics, also known as animal language processing. ACL2 is currently one of the world leaders in applying modern AI techniques to understanding animal vocalization. The lab has created the largest multimedia canine and feline vocalization datasets in the world and developed a pipeline to transcribe canine and feline vocalizations into discrete phonetic symbols and subsequently discover words and their association with the external context.

The lab is actively recruiting both graduate and undergradute students.

ACL2 is located at ERB-316, 500 UTA Blvd, Arlington, TX 76010.
