About the PR

In _EinstienEngines, modified the speech_emote_sounds.yml to point to actual chittering and squeaking audio within /Audio/Voice and /Audio/Animals. Additionally, made it so that Protogen can make those noises on the emote wheel.

Why / Balance

Protogen are supposed to be able to use a wide array of sounds for self expression. This is the first step in completing that process.

Requirements

  • [ x] I have read relevant guidelines/documentation to this PR found on our devwiki.
  • [x ] I have added media to this PR or it does not require an ingame showcase.
  • [ x] I can confirm this PR contains either no AI-generated content, or AI-generated content that meets our guidelines.

How to test

Spawn in as Protogen.
Use the *chitters and *squeaks emotes.
Use the emote wheel for the corresponding ones.
The Protogen now chitters and squeaks.

Changelog

🆑 Psyk117

  • add: Added *chitters and *squeaks to the Protogen emote whitelist
  • fix: Changed the filepaths for the Chitter and Squeak to point to actual noises.

These use the IPC sounds, you should make your own speech emote sounds prototype for protogens
Also, maybe they should be variations like harpies? As well as some new sounds that make it sound more robotic, maybe
