I think adding a bit more motion would make Arroost a bit more visually appealing.
For example, when a note is playing, it could get smaller with a slightly wobbly animation, and then get bigger again when it's done.
Alongside that, when a note starts playing it could have a small burst of white circular particles that quickly fade away, along with less particles for the duration of the note.
The same particles would show during recording, but red, with the same getting smaller animation.
