Fix clang-format issues: remove trailing spaces and fix JavaDoc formatting

- Remove trailing spaces at end of lines
- Fix JavaDoc comment spacing (empty line with *)
- Ensure proper line endings without extra characters
- All formatting now complies with clang-format-16 requirements
