Feature request
Please add support in the iOS Shortcuts action for Send Message to send messages to Telegram chats that are not iPhone phone contacts, especially:
- users by Telegram username or link
- groups / channels
- forum group topics
- bots
At the moment the Shortcuts action appears to only allow selecting phone contacts, which makes it hard to automate messages to Telegram-native destinations such as a group topic or bot chat.
Suggested approach
One simple option could be adding a free-text destination parameter alongside the current contact picker.
For example, the destination field could accept a Telegram link copied from the app, such as:
- a user or bot link
- a group/channel invite or public link
- a forum topic link
Then Shortcuts could use that text destination when sending the provided message.
Why this is useful
This would make iOS automations much more useful for Telegram workflows, such as:
- sending automated status updates to a group or family chat
- sending notes or commands to a bot
- posting to a specific forum topic from a Shortcut
- integrating Telegram into personal automation flows without relying on phone contacts
Related to the broader Shortcuts request in #190, but this issue is specifically about allowing non-phone-contact destinations, including groups and group topics.
