A quick question for UnityColorealityClient.

I am struggling with many issues for using this app; however, I just wanna ask a quick question before I ask many questions.

Is UnityColorealityClient compatible with Android (8.0 oreo) smartphone?

Hi Chunyoung, sorry that I am not sure about this and I don't have an Android device to do the test. Generally, this Unity developed app should work for most Android devices. Though it might be an incompatibility of specific version of Unity/Cardboard app support on Android Oreo.

Any problem you saw when trying to run the app?

Hello TangoChen, I have studied your examples, Unity, Android SDK, Leapmotion SDK, and so on until now... I still was not able to find the exact reason why your work is not compatible with my systems. Basically the unity shows many error messages when it is loaded for the first time. However, after numerous conducting studies and tests, I was able to assume several possibilities of the problems. They are such as, 1. The version of Unity 2. The version of leapmotion core asset and interaction engine and other SDKs... 3. Publishing your unity app to android smartphone (It seems very different from ISO. It requires to install Android SDK and match with the right version of Android system of its smartphone and so on..) All of those factors are affecting to the final result. The only way to resolve this issue is to understand your work, current leapmotion SDKs and Android SDK, and rebuilt all over again based on my system. I have researched your UnityColorealityClient, and I think it may be helpful to research the unity version of ColorealityServer_PC. So, I would like to request the unity version of ColorealityServer_PC so that I can understand the whole concept of the system flow. Thank you!

Hi Chunyoung, I've just added the Unity Server project as you requested (long time ago..0.0)
Building Unity project on Android sometimes can be confusing with different assets causing conflicts.
I agree with your assumptions. I'd suggest:
Using Unity on v2017.3.1 or later's.
Dunno if you have done this: Try having a simpler Unity Android project properly installed on your device. Without having the UnityColorealityClient. It can have nothing(empty scene), then have only Google Cardboard VR assets. If these works, then finally check with my assets.

The Unity server project is added for you to do any research and get whatever from it. Notice I would hope to make a big change in the next version but.. It's always taking a longer time that I can rarely focus on it right at the moment. Sorry for any inconveniences.

What you mentioned the Leap Motion Core Asset, Interaction Engine are the Unity assets. I would simply download the latest version they have on website when I need. (Unless it's not compatible with the Unity version you have or some previous developed project files.)

For what I've done in this project, I'm actually not using them except the essential dlls (under LeapMotion/Core/Plugins/ of Leap Motion Core Asset) for the Unity server application.

They are not all essentially required to do Leap projects, but depends on what you want and need.

Also my two cents:

• UNITY CORE ASSETS 4.4.0 contains the core(dll files inside are most needed) to access Leap device, import it for your app projects that access the Leap device directly.
  My client app only get transferred data(in a custom form, not official native ones) through Wi-fi, so it doesn't need it. (It only deals with my custom forms of datas.)
  The server app needs to access Leap device natively with USB cable. So it requires the core assets.

• Leap Motion Interaction Engine. I didn't look into it though. It's like a fuller, big system that has considered most of the details you will generally concern on XR interactions. It contains hover, touch, grasp some sorts of UI/object interactions you may want to do in a virtual world.   When I want to start off something much simpler, usually with only lightweight functions one after one, I tend to do everything from scratch.
