<p>让我们从最熟悉的地方说起</p>
<h1 id="印欧语系（Indo-European）"><a href="#印欧语系（Indo-European）" class="headerlink" title="印欧语系（Indo-European）"></a>印欧语系（Indo-European）</h1><p>很多人喜欢说一些类似“拉丁语系”一类的词汇，但其实并不存在“拉丁语系”这个概念</p>
<p>我小时候曾经以为平时看到的那些用拉丁字母书写的欧洲语言都属于所谓的“拉丁语系”，然后就对“拉丁美洲”的概念产生了疑惑——北美洲说的英语难道不是“拉丁语系”的吗？</p>
<p>事实上，我们常见的欧洲语言基本都属于<strong>印欧语系</strong>——顾名思义，这个语系包括<strong>印度</strong>和<strong>欧洲</strong>的一些语言，比如用拉丁字母书写的那一筐欧洲语言、用西里尔字母书写的俄语(русский)、用天城文书写的印地语(हिन्दी)、用阿拉伯字母书写的波斯语(فارسی)等等</p>
<p>而“拉丁美洲”的“拉丁”则指的是印欧语系中的一支——<strong>罗曼语族</strong>，也叫<strong>意大利语族</strong>。这一支的大boss就是现在已经没有人正经使用的<strong>拉丁语</strong>，可以说罗曼语族中的<strong>法语</strong>、<strong>意大利语</strong>、<strong>西班牙语</strong>、<strong>葡萄牙语</strong>等都是拉丁语的直系后代</p>
<p>那我们最熟悉的英语呢？事实上，英语属于印欧语系的另外一支——</p>
<h1 id="日耳曼语族（Germanic）"><a href="#日耳曼语族（Germanic）" class="headerlink" title="日耳曼语族（Germanic）"></a>日耳曼语族（Germanic）</h1><p>印欧语系的一支，包括<strong>英语</strong>、<strong>德语</strong>、<strong>荷兰语</strong>，以及若干<strong>北欧语言</strong></p>
<p>于是有一个段子，英国人管德国人叫German，但事实上你们都是“German”</p>
<h1 id="英语（English）"><a href="#英语（English）" class="headerlink" title="英语（English）"></a>英语（English）</h1><blockquote>
<p>fence duck bear to shoot peach to fight ball skirt plate clock charger switch train ball drown backpack shrimp muscles graveyard thermometer gooseberry sea cigarette fang cherry to wake up</p>

<p>其实没什么可说的，我相信大家都能辨认出这个</p>
<p>不过有些人可能知道，英语和法语在很多词汇上是非常相似的，或者说，这其实是由于英语中有数量巨大的法语<strong>借词</strong>，但是为什么说英语和德语的关系反而比和法语更近呢？毕竟德语被很多视频吐槽在欧洲语言中非常“独特”</p>
<p>但事实上，语言的亲疏远近与借词没有关系。日语中有相当大部分的词汇是汉语借词，还有部分词汇是英语借词，但这不影响日语既不属于汉藏语系也不属于印欧语系</p>
<p>这是因为讨论语言的亲缘关系是从语言演化历程的角度讲的。而借词不属于自然的语言演化——日语并不是从古汉语中分离出去的，而是由日本本土的古日语接收了很多汉语词汇发展而来的。日语中的“训读”其实就是用汉字记录日语本土词汇的发音</p>
<p>因此，越是生活中常见、历史悠久的词汇（<strong>底层词汇</strong>），比如水火土、吃喝睡、数词等，越能反映语言的亲缘关系。事实上，英语在底层词汇上和德语非常接近（例如water-Wasser，eat-essen等），而英语中的法语借词则更多是比较抽象的高层词汇</p>
<p>分辨一门语言是日耳曼语的最好的方法就是看其中是否有一些和英语同义词汇很像的底层词汇（这里的“很像”特别是指辅音上的相似，因为元音往往在演化中产生比较大的音变，且不同语言中相同元音字母表达的音位不如辅音字母稳定；同一组的清浊辅音如b和p、d和t、s和z等也可能在不同语言中发生变化，可以看做相似）</p>
<p>如果有较多底层词汇和英语很相似，那么就可以初步判断是日耳曼语</p>
<p>该说的基本知识差不多了，下面就认识一下其他日耳曼语吧</p>
<h1 id="德语（Deutsch）"><a href="#德语（Deutsch）" class="headerlink" title="德语（Deutsch）"></a>德语（Deutsch）</h1><blockquote>

<p>德语最独特的书写特征是<strong>名词首字母大写</strong>，这一点几乎可以把德语世界上所有用拉丁字母书写的语言区分开</p>
<p>所以德语单词会有大量的首字母大写出现</p>
<p>德语有四个特殊字母：ä ö ü ß，其中最后一个字母ß其实是一种特殊的s，跟b或者β毫无关系</p>
<p>德语（很多非英语日耳曼语也是如此）喜欢用字母k而不是字母c表示音位<code>/k/</code>，字母c则出现在ch、sch、tsch等辅音字母组合中，这些字母组合在德语中也很常见</p>
<h1 id="卢森堡语（Letzebuergesch）"><a href="#卢森堡语（Letzebuergesch）" class="headerlink" title="卢森堡语（Lëtzebuergesch）"></a>卢森堡语（Lëtzebuergesch）</h1><blockquote>

<p>与德语长得几乎一样，也要求名词首字母大写，具体地说有下面这些区别：</p>
<ul>
<li>有一个上加正斜线的特殊字母é</li>
<li>没有德语中的ü ß</li>
</ul>
<h1 id="荷兰语（Nederlands）"><a href="#荷兰语（Nederlands）" class="headerlink" title="荷兰语（Nederlands）"></a>荷兰语（Nederlands）</h1><blockquote>

<p>荷兰语没有标准拉丁字母以外的特殊字母，但是经常使用一个字母组合ij表示双元音<code>/ɛi/</code>，比如学计算机的同志一定知道的Dijkstra</p>
<p>简单来说，如果看到一个长得挺像英语、又没有名词大写、没有特殊字母的语言，它很可能就是荷兰语</p>

<h1 id="简介"><a href="#简介" class="headerlink" title="简介"></a>简介</h1><p><strong>猜语言</strong>是来自<a target="_blank" rel="noopener" href="https://baltoslav.eu/adhadaj/index.php">这个网页</a>的一个语言游戏，玩家需要通过给出的一门语言的<strong>若干个单词及其释义</strong>猜出这是什么语言。</p>
<p>所以这系列博客是一个如何根据<strong>文本</strong>猜出<strong>语言</strong>的教程。</p>
<h1 id="自我澄清"><a href="#自我澄清" class="headerlink" title="自我澄清"></a>自我澄清</h1><p>对语言学有了解的朋友也许知道，语言的本质是语音而不是文字，所以根据文字来猜语言不是什么非常科学的事情，但是这很好玩<del>并且非常适合用来装逼</del>。</p>
<p><strong>语言</strong>和<strong>文字</strong>是截然不同的两件事，很多语言都可以用多种不同的文字来书写。比如汉语可以使用<strong>汉字</strong>、<strong>拉丁字母</strong>（汉语拼音）甚至<strong>注音字母</strong>来书写，而世界上很多语言也曾经更改过其官方认可的文字系统。</p>
<p>仅仅根据<strong>书写系统</strong>（比如<strong>拉丁字母ABCD</strong>、<strong>西里尔字母АБВГ</strong>、<strong>阿拉伯字母اﺏﺝﺩ</strong>等）来猜语言是不可能的，至少看到一门用拉丁字母书写的、不是英语的语言，大部分人都很难分清这是什么鸟语。所以对于采用上面这些很常见的书写系统的语言来说，仅靠“文字长什么样”是不管用的，很多时候也会需要对这些语言音系、词源、亲缘关系等的了解。</p>
