Description

Attempts to import Apple iPhone GPS and datetime metadata tracks by Subler does not save the track(s)
Original/input movie file created with Camera.app on an iPhone 17 Pro, then saved to local disk for access using Subler.

  1. Launch Subler 1.7.4

  2. Open a .MOV file containing metadata tracks from an iPhone that display GPS and datetime info in the QuickTime Player info window.
Subler displays the two possible GPS and datetime tracks, listing them as Name:"Metadata Track", Info: "Timed Metadata"

  3. Click 'Add' to add them to the new file. The 'Metadata Track'(s) are added to the new file.

  4. Select 'File > Save' (or CMD+S) to save the new file

Result:
When the save is complete, the 'Metadata Track'(s) are missing and not saved in the destination file.
