Load image details from markdown sidecar

I'm currently trying out spg and I really enjoy its simplicity. At the same time, having to define image captions and other parameters after the init step (if I'm not missing something!) in a potentially large-growing JSON feels limiting.

Have you thought about allowing images to have sidecar files such as <image_name>.md to specify the caption in markdown? That file could also optionally sport a frontmatter to define URL or other attributes that might be added in the future. I'm happy to take a stab at that change, or something else if you already have something in mind.

Thanks! The way I do that is to store the captions in the EXIF data of the photos (see docs). You can use Description, ImageDescription or UserComment. You can do this usually from image editing software, like for example Adobe Lighttroom. You can even do Markdown with that, but I admit this is not great.

I think the sidecar .MD files is a good idea, although not high on my priority list. However, if you want you can surely implement it and create a PR - I'll be happy to review and merge.

Sorry I seem to have missed that option. That's a great alternative if the caption is in EXIF. For me personally, the caption that I would add to the gallery would probably be highly specific and not something that I necessarily want in EXIF If I were to share the image somewhere else.

I will try it out to see how far it carries me, and look into providing a PR if you would approve the idea of a sidecar.
