Audio Routing

SCRCPY on its own will route audio through my PC.
When I mirror my phone in Android-Dex, it does the same.

I'd like to use the player widget but, to retain the audio routing to my PC, I have to also stay mirrored to use the widget.
When I close the mirrored device window, the player widget still retains the track info, yet when I push play on the player, it plays through the device and not my PC.

Something you might consider for the to-do list.

I understnd what you mean now.
When an audio app is closed in Android-Dex, the playback itself continues running on Android. However, with SCRCPY, closing the mirrored window also closes/kills the virtual display, which is why the audio routing switche back to the phon speaker.

I’ll consider this for the to-do list and look into adding an option such as:

“On close, kep app/display alive”

so audio routing to the PC can continue even after closing the mirored window.
