Question: Optional use of alias

I'm not setting alias when publish any of my device data metrics.  However, when the payload is received in DDATA by another client, the metric name starts with bdSeq instead of the original topic name.

Is there an option to not use aliases?

I understand this might use long topic names and extra bandwidth.
