Emulate lsb_release #1
Description
lsb_release doesn't come as standard on all systems and often comes with a heavy list of dependencies when all we want from it is a friendly distribution name identifier. Perhaps the functionality of lsb_release -d can be emulated in some way so we can drop it as a dependency?
