Prerequisites

Criteria

• Reasonably well-known and widely used (e.g. if it's a GitHub project, it should have at least 100 stars and/or 50 forks)
• English interface (or at least English documentation)
• Latest stable version
• Full version (i.e. not a trial version)
• Fairly standard install (e.g. uses a version-specific download URL, no elaborate pre/post install scripts)

Some Indication of Popularity/Repute

To the best of my knowledge, this is currently the only reliable tool to manage NTFS Alternate Data Streams. It can find, display, edit, and delete NTFS Alternate Data Streams.

The app is portable... no special installation required.

The only popular similar app is:

But the NirSoft app does not let you quickly view (or edit) Alternate Data Streams (ADS). Also, the "Open Selected Stream with..." functionality in AlternateStreamView, unfortunately, has been broken since Windows 7 (due to changes made by Microsoft to Windows).
