Description
Dear SamB440,
I am an ordinary Minecraft player.
First of all, thank you so much for your contributions to the Minecraft community! I deeply appreciate the hard work of you and the plugin's development team!
Your plugin is truly amazing! I love it!
It has helped me and countless other players streamline complex configuration tasks!
My Request
I sincerely hope you can add the following feature to the plugin:
"Load specific resource packs based on designated world names."
Additionally, if this feature is implemented, I would like to set different resource packs for different worlds and client versions (e.g., send a 1.12.2-compatible pack for clients on 1.12.2, and a 1.20.1 pack for those on 1.20.1).
I understand that developing plugins is challenging, but I believe this feature would make your plugin even more perfect and attract more players.
If you don’t mind, please allow me to share my story with your plugin and why this request matters...
My Story with Your Plugin
To simplify multiplayer sessions with friends—like playing minigames or puzzle maps—I explored ways to quickly switch between maps. Eventually, I settled on using Spigot to manage maps efficiently.
However, a major issue arose: maps requiring custom resource packs.
Every time we played a map with a resource pack, I had to manually share the pack for everyone to download. Over time, my friends accumulated too many packs, cluttering their resource folders. Many grew frustrated and stopped playing maps that required new packs (they refused to organize them with prefixes like . or _ 😅).
To accommodate casual players (the "non-techy" ones), I had to manually edit the config.yml for each map with its resource pack. If we played three new maps in a day, my workload tripled! (I archive maps and their packs for easy backups, which complicates things further.)
Then, friends running public Survival servers introduced me to your plugin. It became a game-changer! By placing packs in named folders and tweaking config.yml, I saved hours of work. Still, I needed to edit the config every time we switched maps.
So, I thought: "Why not ask the awesome developer to add this feature?"
