Apologies, this is not exclusively about html-pub -- this issue might need to be broken up and moved to other repos but I wasn't sure where...
The html-pub doc says:
The DOI span element should be used, and not the a element, for both the most recent and specific editions of a SMPTE document.
Will DOIs be created for every published SMPTE Engineering Document so that there's an undated DOI for the document number and a dated DOI for every published version of that document number?
Presumably "most recent" in the quote above means the undated DOI (not, say, the latest-version URI or latest-pub URI (see AG 29))? This should be clarified.
My understanding is that the undated DOI will always resolve to the all-versions URI (see AG 29)
Should AG 29 be updated to reflect this usage of DOIs (i.e. how they match to AG 29 URIs), or should it be documented elsewhere?
