I cannot Install software: Microsoft Defender SmartScreen

I work for SEPA, Scottish Environment Protection Agency. We were trained by James Brassington on this software years ago.
Now that we have new systems in place we would like to install the software in new machines, but IS has advised we cant until the developers of the software can sign the tool. This will allow to pass Microsoft Defender SmartScreen.

Could this be done?

We have just successfully got the GCD standalone into the Microsoft Store. If you are still interested, perhaps you can try installing it from there?

Part of the Microsoft Store submission involves Microsoft applying a software certificate to the application. This should overcome the "Defender" issues that you mentioned.
