MacOS build instruction

Dear authors,
Thanks for sharing your great work,
I want to install this plugin in MacOS, here is what I try

./autogen.sh
./configure --prefix /usr/ --libdir /usr/lib/
make
sudo make install

But I got this err:

Making install in plugins
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `install-exec-am'.
 /usr/local/bin/gmkdir -p '/usr/lib/gstreamer-1.0'
gmkdir: cannot create directory ‘/usr/lib/gstreamer-1.0’: Operation not permitted
make[2]: *** [install-pluginLTLIBRARIES] Error 1
make[1]: *** [install-am] Error 2
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1
