Assigning channel numbers

TCL TV.

• Why can't I just change channel numbers by entering the numbers I need?
• When editing the current list, why can't I assign numbers to all channels to fix the sorting in the current form? For example, click on the frequency so that the list is sorted by frequency, then press ctrl+a (select all), and then assign numbers to all channels in sequence from top to bottom?
• Why can't I move channels from one list to another while preserving the channel numbers (for example, the radio channel number 3001)?

Although, it is possible that I just haven't found such functions. Please, tell me how to do this without pressing arrows or dragging each program with the cursor manually.

I think I found what I was looking for. Edit current list -> Split view -> Select the desired identical channels in the left and right windows -> Sort in the right window by frequency -> Click on the arrow "Add selected channels to sorted list". So I sorted the channels by frequency and assigned them numbers in sequence, and also saved the radio numbers 3001, 3002, etc. But it was not obvious.
