I'd be in way over my head working on this, but I'd be happy to give it whatever a shot. I've got no experience whatsoever working on something like this, but point me to some resources, and I could probably learn some!

Thanks a bunch! I think the best resource is https://wiki.osdev.org. Do you know C? I’ve mostly done the NASM code I need so far, except for the syscalls, which are super simple. I also want to make it easier to integrate with other languages. If you know what language you’re comfortable with, let me know and I’ll try to add support. Video, networking, and sound are the biggest things I want to get going, but just creating file systems is pretty straightforward and repetitive. Thanks again, and let me know how I can help!
