Can't launch NitroSense

I'm using Debian 13, with KDE. I put the binary in /usr/local/sbin/

Here is the output of the command:

Does that folder structure/file exists?
In the path: /sys/kernel/debug/ec

Do you have secure boot enabled? Maybe it needs to be disabled to work.
If that still doesnt work i would recommend using the ACPI_EC kernel module

Seems like debian builts the module ec_sys in the kernel not as a loadable module, so my program cant unload it and load it with write permissions, which is maybe why its giving a permission error, can you check:
cat /sys/module/ec_sys/parameters/write_support?
If it returns N then that's the problem
acpi_ec would kinda solve it but i can implement a better way without using it

Ok so you'll need to change your kernel cmdline then, because with the module being built-in thats the only way i know of
You need to add ec_sys.write_support=Y. Or install acpi_ec

With this commit it should be able to detect if the file fails and try to load acpi_ec automatically. If you want you can grab a new build of the app on the artifacts section of the latest commit run!

After testing (using the new build), the app won't launch if Secure Boot is enabled. I also have enabled ec_sys write support and installed acpi_ec.
Disable ec_sys write support will crash the app with this error Error: Error refreshing the EC buffer: [Errno 22] Invalid argument
If Secure Boot is enabled, and acpi_ec is installed, it return this error

Opening ec as rw failed with: [Errno 1] Operation not permitted: '/sys/kernel/debug/ec/ec0/io'
Trying to load acpi_ec
modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'acpi_ec': Key was rejected by service
Error: Failed to load 'acpi_ec' module.

Although most of the app does work. I haven't test the keyboard lighting yet. Will install the predator module and try it later.
