Problems with current version (25/12) #1

Description

@KevinRSX

I'm about to submit a PR for it, but just to summarize the issues here. None of them are necessarily bugs, but improving them could result in better adherence to front-end practices:

  • Now if you go to an old semester, you won't be able to return to the current semester right on the page (not by clicking backward or typing the URL in the address bar) because the latest semester in the navigation bar is the semester the HTML was created.
  • We have more than papers, but also knowledge share and project presentations. Those can also be included on the website. The forms should therefore be replaced
  • The website should be able to change weekly without adding any HTML tags, so would be good to use Jekyll and let coordinators use Markdown
  • The instructions on the top should be per-semester (a new sign-up link, etc. or a new type of presentations)
  • Rather than having a current/ symlink, it's better to use /reading-group/index.html as the base and redirect to the current semester
  • Some simple style changes to make the website look more modern (but still an academic one)
